Nice and silent, stays cool, and works great with my 6 PoE cameras
This is my first fan-less 8-port PoE network switch and it looks like I’m going to be the first to review it. Yay me! I previously had an 8-port switch that someone had given me but it had a fan and was very noisy so I had swapped it out with a 4-port fan-less switch. I went with the 4-port because I only had two security cameras and figured that’d be plenty for future cameras. Several good Amazon deals later and I found myself with an additional four cameras bringing my total to 6. There was no way I was going back to that noisy 8-port switch so I got this.I’ve had this switch running for about a week now and it’s been working great. Setup was a breeze, just plug in the power then plug in all the ethernet cables. Nothing else to it! There are eight ports for cameras, one for the router, and one port for an NVR. They are all clearly marked so there’s no confusion on which is which. They’re also all lined up side-by-side as opposed to the two rows stacked on top of each other that some other switches have. I prefer the side-by-side layout as it’s easier to insert and remove a cord when there’s nothing above or below it.All my PoE cameras have been running off it without issue and video playback is smooth. The casing is all metal with large vent slits in both sides for ventilation which appears to work great as it doesn’t get hot at all. There are little LED lights under each port which light up when a cable is plugged in and it detects a connection. You can also see a cool green glow through the ventilation slits. There are no mounting holes on the back but it does come with two metal brackets which attach to either the underside or side of the switch allowing it to be mounted either flat against the wall or in a cabinet rack. There are four non-slip feet included but not installed on the switch so you can decide whether or not you want them on. Clever idea to do it that way as you probably won’t want feet if you’re mounting it flush on the wall. There are four indentations on the bottom to show where the feet go should you decide to put them on.I hope you found my review helpful, please let me know in the comments if you have any questions or suggestions for improvement. Thanks a bunch!

Works great for the price
Connected to 2.5gbe devices and 10gbe uplink with zero issues. Keep in mind the cost of SFP+ devices when shopping for a switch though! The SFPs can cost as much as the switch!

So far, so good, but not perfect.
I chose this over the cheaper 4×2.5 + 2x10G sfp switches because there are reports of those not working with 10gbe dac modules. (I need to connect to my network via 10gbe)This has improved throughput on my network and has run without issues.Pros: UL power supply, unique feature set, managed- supports vlans and other features. Runs cool and stable.Cons: could not find documentation and there is no support. Warranty if it fails? No link aggregation. I incorrectly assumed it could support b/c this is a common managed switch feature. Bummer.Switch not remembering settings and reverting to defaut user/pw when power cycled.I probably should have returned it, but will just use as an unmanaged switch. For that it’s been great and at current price point it’s undercutting the competing QNAP and TRENDnet models. It offers an advantage/flexibility of 1 SFP port vs 2 10gbe ports on the aforementioned.

Great Value
This switch is an excellent value and it’s managed. My only small criticism is the managed user interface. It’s very rudimentary but it gets the job done with lots of features. I am a system engineer and this thing has everything I was looking for POE, VLANs for my camera, two 10gig connectors…etc. Hoping it lasts but so far loving it.

Great value for the speed
This switch is the best of the best. High speed 10Gbps SFP+ and 2.5Gbps RJ45 in one compact package. This switch runs silent, and doesn’t get hot, easy to set up, external power supply, with mounting holes on the bottom for wall mounting.I have bought three of these so far, and have had zero issues.

Excellent PoE switch so far
I have had this switch in use for a couple of months, running a home security camera network. The switch easily provides enough power to run 8-9 PoE cameras, of which one is a PTZ. The performance has been solid with no switch related outages, and it maintains the bandwidth well. Granted, my setup does not max out the stated 100 Mbps bandwidth (I am observing a 60 Mbps constant throughput), but in my application it is 100% solid. I wanted a fanless design to keep my network corner quiet, and this switch is perfect for that. I think that I would buy another one of these if I needed to add more cameras instead of buying a larger port count switch with a fan.Having two non-PoE uplink ports is very helpful, this way I was able to run one uplink to the router to use DHCP for the cameras VLAN, and the other uplink to the dual NIC PC that runs Blue Iris, without having to take up a PoE port for that. This way there is zero camera traffic on the LAN, and the cameras can be easily isolated from calling home or being accessed from the outside.100 Mbps is totally adequate for camera use for this port count, there is no need for a gigabit switch for this purpose.

Died after 7 months
Died after 7 months. Unfortunately, I bought two of them. The second one was purchased at a later date, so it may have about a month left before it dies.

First device lasted 9 months
My first purchase lasted 9 months. It appears that a power surge took it out, even though it was downstream from a surge suppressor. I’ve replaced that unit with an identical replacement and am hoping for a longer period of useful service this time. If the switch can last a couple of years, the value proposition for this device is high.

Tut, was es soll und das schnell und leise und – obwohl passiv bzw. gar nicht gekühlt – kalt. Aktuell hängt der als Migrations- und Ceph-Netz eines Proxmox Clusters mit nem 10G Uplink am Core Switch. Performance siehe Bild. Da kann man nicht meckern.

A manual with meaningful explenations would have been nice. Also a support website with the latest firmware. Luckily I knew that this is actually a hasivo and although they also donât have a support website someone left a link at servethehome forum with links where to find the upgrade firmware. In short a top product considering the price but only for poeple with some network expertise
