Love this thing…so far
The first real positive for me was just how easy it is to set up and how quickly you can get your WiFi up and running. It is super simple and very well laid out in the Orbi app. The next thing is the range of coverage, it is pretty impressive. I was able to get rid of my range extender that I was using to cover my pretty large back yard. My house is 4,000 sq/ft, so I knew this two satellite system would be a bit overkill, but I purchased it for that back yard coverage. TBH, I am fairly certain I could turn a satellite off and still have pleny of bandwidth out there. The other thing that is really cool are the changes/configurations you can do on the app, renaming stuff, pausing my kid’s iPads access and I also am really likeing the Disney Circle functionality. The best part is that now there is one single SSID, no more complaining about this one works, this one is slow which do I use? There is only one and it’s super fast!

Finally a strong signal in my kitchen.
I live in a home that was built in 1887. I have not been able to get descent Wi-Fi throughout the house. I had to pick the areas most important to me. My Twc piece of crap router/modem was in one room. The staircase blocks the signal to most of the house. The living room has a huge brick fireplace where the cable connection is so it blocks any signal to the back of the house. I put up wireless security cameras but couldnât get a signal to the backyard. I can get a signal across the street in front of the house (no staircase or fireplace that direction) i tried a Wi-Fi extender but got a worse signal than without it. Not to mention, I was loosing my connection at least 100 times a day. I bought this, had Twc cancel my Wi-Fi. Saved a whole $5 a month but I went from 30, 31,29, 192, 30 mbps (tested one minute apart) to 185, 220 mbps in all areas of my home. The only thing I dislike about this system is trying to hook up some items that only take 2.4. If you have problems you can log into the router and stop 5 from broadcasting. Once they are hooked up, change it back. I can actually have Alexa set a timer for 10 minutes in my kitchen now. My light bulbs and sockets work. So do my cameras and door sensors! Iâm a happy camper!

Excellent WiFi coverage…finally
I have been in a constant battle for Wifi coverage & stability ever since we moved and got a newer cable modem from our provider. I tried a three pack of their WiFi extending pods only to discover that I have one or more devices on the network that tend to lock them up. There are sometimes that they would come back by themselves, but there were other instances that I would have to pull them from their outlet and plug them back in to force them to “reboot.” And this was just with our normal household stuff: 2x adults & 2x teens with smartphones & tablets, a couple smart TVs, etc. Then COVID hit, and our online demand had to also support Chromebook usage along with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google video meetings. I cannot count how many times I got a text message from someone in the family complaining about the WiFi being down, cutting in & out, or just slow.Enter the Netgear Orbi…unboxing was super easy, and the paper instructions were very minimal (as is usual these days). However, once you download the app to your phone, it walks you through the setup process quite easily. I now have 1 Orbi device on each floor of our house, and I have now only gotten one complaint in the past 7 weeks. The Orbi app actually said that it was offline, but it came back up fine after I rebooted the main/router Orbi device. That’s it.In seven weeks, I would have rebooted the WiFi module or the entire cable modem at least a dozen times…probably closer to two dozen times. And, we now get solid WiFi signal in our backyard living space.

Working good so far…no usb port although picture shows one
Fairly easy to deploy, i downloaded the app as directed by instructions in the box, and then used the app directions to install and deploy. The signal seems to be good throughout the house, about 4000 SF. The armor app notifications can be a little intense at the beginning of deployment. One issue…the picture in the listing shows a usb port on both the router and satellites, mine did not arrive with one… the model # in the listing and on the box were the same. After chatting with amazon customer service they offered me a small credit…they were willing to allow me to return it but I did not want to go through the process. The experience with customer service was a little difficult, I am not sure the person was really understanding the issue…hopefully they change the picture in the listing as I am thinking this unit does NOT come with a usb port on the router/satellites.

Exactly what I needed.
My wife and I moved into a pretty spread out house with a decent sized yard and were having issues covering some parts of the house, and getting virtually nothing outside. This has completely taken care of that for us. The wifi coverage and signal are both fantastic, to the point that I may move the satellites out a bit since each unit has so much coverage. The ethernet hookups on each unit also work very well, so the point where I started using that for my main PC instead of the 20 year old wiring in the house. One thing to mention, during the initial setup it says to start with the satellites in the spot you want to keep them. For me, that caused some issues. I recommend syncing them while they are close, and doing the firmware update then. The new firmware adds a lot of functionality and makes everything work quire a bit better. After doing that, move them out to where you would like.

Wow, I have a 120Mb/s internet and I got the same speed all over the house. I’m impressed by the quality of this router. No needs to wire some connection again

No solo funciona como un excelente repetidor de señal, sino como un excelente filtro de control parental para cuidar a la familia del potencial riesgo de visitar páginas peligrosas o de contenido inadecuado

Muy fácil de configurar y con una señal bastante estable.
