⭐【Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) 】The NF-8506 Network cable tester is a portable Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) cable length tester. The cable tester can accurately measure the cable length in the range of 8.2ft/ 2.5m-656ft /200m, find the cable fault distance and facilitate real-time field measurementt
⭐【PING Tester+IP Scanner】This handheld Ping cable toner can be used to diagnose and maintain local area networks (Lans) running TCP/IP protocols. Powerful PING capabilities can verify connections, check the integrity of transmitted and received data, indicate network traffic load by measuring round-trip times and provide IP addresses
⭐【Network Rate Test + Cable Continuity Test】Ethernet tester can quickly assess network rate issues. Conducts PING tests from multiple locations to gauge server and website response speeds. Allows users to ensure the integrity and connectivity of network cables by identifying any breaks, openings, or short circuits along the cable length.
⭐【POE Tester】Identifies PoE devices efficiently. Detects crossover methods (unknown/end-span/mid-span/8-core power supply) and polarity. Comprehensive PoE detection, including non-standard, IEEE 802.3AF, and IEEE 802.3AT.
⭐【Port Flashing and Identification】Facilitates quick identification of network cable ports. Indicator lights on the connected port in the device flash to help locate cables accurately. Displays port information including operating rate, duplex mode, and negotiation settings.

Essential Tool for Network Technicians: NOYAFA Network Cable Tester Review
I’ve been using the NOYAFA Network Cable Tester extensively and I’m thoroughly impressed with its capabilities and affordability. This versatile tool has made my network installations and troubleshooting tasks much easier. It features an optical power meter and VFL, making it invaluable for both fiber and Ethernet cable testing. The tester supports various standards including CAT5, CAT6, RJ11, and RJ45, which covers almost all my needs for telephone, Ethernet, and video testing. The build quality is solid, providing the durability needed for regular field use. The device is also quite intuitive, making it easy to use without constantly referring to a manual. The inclusion of a PoE tester and wire tracer further enhances its utility, making it a comprehensive solution for network testing. The value for money is exceptional, considering the wide range of features it offers.Overall, I couldnât be more satisfied with the NOYAFA Network Cable Tester. Itâs a must-have for anyone involved in network setup or maintenance, providing accurate readings and helping to quickly identify and solve cable connectivity issues.

Perfect for cable tests and Fiber Troubleshooting
The device has a Variable Frequency Laser (1Hz, 2Hz, and Static) that is good for shooting light to find faults in fiber or locate where a connection is on a patch panel. Also has an Optical Meter to test how strong the light coming in is from another Switch/Router/Media Converter. I keep this in my car and it’s saved my but a few times when I ran into fiber issues and was able to do some quick troubleshooting. Just gotta remind myself that -16.00 db is the “normal” threshold for a good fiber connection. The Ethernet parts work well too.Positives:Flashing Port = checking for connectivity. Provides speed, duplex, etc. It’s good to know if I am even getting a good connection to start with.QC = If I am actually getting a copper contact on the termination. Good for when I make my own cables.Cont = This requires you plugging it into the port on the Toner on the far end so you can see what the cable is doing. Good for finding breaks and splits.Length feature is pretty accurate. Sometimes it’ll show a pair that’s not broken or anything as being way off. So you kinda gotta use your own judgement in some of these cases, but that’s what we network engineers are paid for, right?Cons: Often find myself needing to use the port on the Toner for the most accurate results for the CONT and I have had some issues with using the actual toner correctly. But this likely was user error since I rarely ever tone anything out.All in all, it’s definitely worth when working on a large network where you have a mix of copper and fiber. Especially when the name-brand competition has their products in the THOUSANDS of dollars price-range. So this definitely does the trick for me.10/10 recommend.

Nice tester
I have been using this for a couple of weeks. The continuity tester, digital cable locator and most all functions work well. The cable length tester seems to be ok on most rj45 ended cables. It tends to have a hard time when going rj45 test cable to punch down then length of cable so not sure if it is me or the tester. Overall a great tool given the pricing. Has saved me hours of tracing time.

I am a network engineer. This is a good basic cable/fiber tester.
I looked at all of the inexpensive testers on the market, and chose this one for home use. I have a fairly extensive network at home, and all of the features on this were things I can use there. Honestly, I have access to just about every tester on the market, so if I need anything better, I just borrow it.This tester has some of the important features you need for home or a small network business. Specifically:- Basic PoE Testing – useful to make sure your switch is providing the correct power.- Cable length: This is a capacitive test not a TDR. What does this mean? First of all its not going to be as accurate as a TDR tester. Its accuracy is “â¤20M+/-1.6M, 20M~100M+/-2.4M,â¥100M+/-3.2M” which means it can be off by about 8 feet on a cable under 100M. Next capacitance varries based on the wire you use so it is possible that it could be better or worse than that.- Continuity tester: Wiremap, fault test, etc.- Cable locator toner and wand- Port flash mode with speed identifier: (hated this! It kept turning off the flash mode before I could find the port!)- PoE Test: End connect, and mid-span testing for PoE with 802.3af/at detection and non-standard and shows voltage on each connection used.- Cable scan: Detects shorts, crossed pair, split-pair, open, loop-back, and has a detector for shield.- Visual fault locator for fiber (Just for a laugh… they say in the manual NVL: 10Mw… I think they meant 10mW! If you have a 10Mw fault locator, you just blew a hole through the fiber, the equipment, the floor, the wall, the neighbors building honestly I’m not sure how far a 10Mw laser would go!-Relative optical Power Meter for light levels including the following wavelengths: 850/1300/1310/1490/1550/1625 ( Wavelength in nM)-USB – C charging-A LIGHT! on the receiver!!!! As in FLASHLIGHT!!!Now the Cons:-Multiple ports for RJ connections that depend on the test you are running. You have to pay close attention to make sure you’re on the right port!!!- The enter and back buttons are reversed (at least as far as i am concerned) The enter is on the left and the back is on the right. Its so annoying, that I’m almost tempted to rip it apart and rewire the pads.- If you are trying to blink a port and you are switching from port to port on your patch panel, the blink mode will shut off by itself after a short period. If this is from a remote jack, you have to have someone there to restart it.Overall I’m happy with this test unit. It does what it says, and i haven’t had any real problems with using it.
