Exceptional projector even in daylight.
Exceptional Daytime Performance with the Casiris Omnistar L80I recently purchased the Casiris Omnistar L80 and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations. The picture quality is outstanding, offering vibrant colors and sharp images that truly enhance my viewing experience. One of the standout features of this projector is its brightness. Rated at 1500 ANSI lumens, it delivers a bright and clear image even in the daytime. This is a game-changer for me as it allows for versatile usage of the projector at any time of the day.The auto-focus and auto-correct features are also impressive. They work seamlessly to provide a crisp, well-aligned image without any manual adjustments. This is a huge time-saver and adds to the overall ease of use.The built in speaker works so well I do not use my soundba, so if you was thinking of getting a soundbar I believe you should try without as it is not needed in my opinion. While I do use xbox and fire cube the built-in wifi connection works well I use the other connections for easy connection to home camera system through Alexa on fire cube and gaming on xbox.In conclusion, the Casiris OmniStar L80 offers great value for its price. It combines excellent picture quality, high brightness, and convenient features to deliver a top-notch viewing experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone in search of a reliable and high-performing projector.Chris.

Very bright picture, even in daylight! Good quality projector!
After almost 5 months using it, I’m very pleased with this projector. Surprisingly good picture quality, easy to set up, bright and sharp pictures. Also the built in speakers are good too. Well worth it the money.

Better than expected. Even from China and how cheap it was… hmmm…
I’ll eventually update with pictures.First off, I was just wanting a cheap replacement for my roo. As my old one, which cost a few hundred more, went out after 10 hours of use. Decided to not get get same brand and what not. This one, however is unexpectedly good. Not the best, but for the price actually wowed me. Maybe I was the lucky one to have gotten one what is pretty decent. Maybe not.Anyways, this is definitely 1080 native. The brightness is pretty good with ambient light within the room. If I used a black screen, I am sure everything would be even brighter with higher quality. For now, I use a black backed white projector screen that does a good job allowing light to reflect pretty good. This projector I have to say is really good for the money it costs. The apps within the menu is convenient so I don’t have to buy a separate de ice and the built in speakers are decently loud. Not emersion or high quality, but definitely has loudness to it with some quality. The auto focus is amazing. Works just how it’s suppose to, was not expecting it to.Downside to this, no lens cover as lens is deeper within the case itself, providing no means of a cover, but using a shammy that I use for my glasses cleans it no problem, leaving no scratches or dust. Cleans great.Issues that isn’t really a concern, but can live with is the factory default keystone all being at 0, leaves the screen all distorted. I mount it using the ceiling, but end up maxing out the projector keystone to fix it. Just barely can see a side issu on the keystone and is maxed, but only noticeable if like 20 to 30 feet away. Another issue, as I only tested netflix, is that you are stuck with a mouse pointer to choose movies or to login, ect. The software that holds the apps allows just button use. Wondering if other apps require mouse pointer. May try a wireless mouse and see if it can be used. Conclusion, the projector is mounted exactly 10 feet from screen surface to front surface of the projector and casts a 60in. X 36in. approximately of a screen. Depends on what aspect ratio you have it set to and the keystone as well. Has great quality for the price, pretty good sound, built in available apps but have to download them within the software, variety of available apps, bright depending on screen or background your casting on, and of course the price. Honestly, if the keystone was fixed and the apps didn’t have a mouse pointer and allowed just using the remote arrows, I am pretty sure this will be worth as much as the $1,500 one I bought that casts about the same quality being 1080p native. 4k does, I want to mention seem to work pretty good and looks to be a slightly better quality than 1080p. So possible 4k support, but dont remember what the specs said about that.GDefinitely recommend, but we will see how long it lasts as my other cheap one lasted 10 hours. 1,000 times improvement from the 500 one that went out. Not as good as my $1,500, but can definitely almost be competitive. Just those few issues… shame on those.I will update if the projector ever has a problem. If I don’t, then It has lasted, which I am aiming for it to do. I always review the products I buy.Don’t expect the unexpected even if the expected becomes unexpected as the expected may well be unexpected. In simple terms, just because it’s cheap or expensive, doesn’t mean it’s low quality or high quality. Time will always tell…

Get what you pay for.
I ordered this projector for an outdoor patio area. On day one I noticed a small blemish on the left side of the screen. I verified this is coming from the projector itself and the lens is clean. This is a clear distortion that’s coming from the inside of the projector and probably should not made past quality checks.Pros:Like other reviewers, this projector is brighter than most and is visible during the day. Focus and keystone correction are done internally and are much more effective than cheaper projectors that I’ve owned. It should also be pointed out that brightness and contrast can be adjusted.Cons: The blemish this protector came with (see photo) is a big problem for me. This is a quality check that could have easily been found using a white screen. While the focus is better than low-end projectors, it is not as good on the edges as higher end projectors I’ve used in the past. If you’re looking for super crisp focus on all parts of the screen, this projector will not do that. Also, be sure to check the specifications. The size of this projector is much larger than I anticipated – comparable to an Epson.

DUST FOR DAYS….
I’ll start by saying that I really wanted to this product to work for me, I really did. Unfortunately it’s been a nightmare and I am now returning my second unit. The first projector came with a 1 inch sized black line/spot, dead center of the viewing area. This is most likely dust on an external optical surface. I tried blowing compressed air into the until and even “Slapped the unit on the left and right side of the lid” as the owners guide suggested and it didn’t remove the dust spot. I returned the original projector and still willing to try again, ordered a replacement. It came in 4 days later and I was ABSOLUTELY STUNNED with disbelief when I powered the projector up. There was not only one but THREE half inch dust spots in the viewing area. The troubleshooting section states to “Slap the unit on both the left and right side of the lid” if black spots are visible. I find having to do this to a brand new projector very concerning but I did both times to no avail. My question now is how does this happen in BOTH brand new units that were sent to me? Is there no quality control?

Fit on my previous bracket. Quality of picture really good in light or dark conditions. Sound is brilliant even from the projector, no need for speakers ir sound bar. Set up in minutes. Brilliant price. I have a 100 inch screen and all in for bracket, screen and projector less than £400.

Pros- Crisp image- Incredibly bright- Good auto focus and auto keystone- Great audio- Full refund with no hassle when problems below appearsCons. Unfortunately, as soon as I opened the projector, I noticed this black dot on my image (~1 cm big on a 100 cm diagonal), which will not go away- Unless the image is perfectly parallel with the wall, you will get the side furthest to the projector a bit blurry- Its own smart system is clunky- Supports chromecast which runs smoothly, but the volume buttons on chromecast remote are not compatible with the projector (so you have to use the projector remote for volume only)

Bought this back in 2023 but only recently installed it, honestly fantastic bit of equipment, first picture shows picture being projected on a black wall during the day, second one at night on a projector screenFan does make a fair bit of noise but don’t notice during use, although may be noticeable when watching a movie during quite moments, but personally for me not an issue at all.No need for a soundbar as theAudio quality is exceptional

This unit punches well above its weight given the price point and features. After getting the software update, the fan noise has dropped dramatically. I’d say the fan noise is in line with most good projectors and is only noticeable during quiet or completely silent points in a movie. The focus of the picture can suffer when you’re using a heavy keystone correction, but that is to be expected. If you’re projecting mostly head-on (or very close to head-on) then this does a fantastic job. The brightness is really impressive for this price point. I use it in a moderately lit room with natural light coming in from a nearby window and it manages really well. When the room is dark it is really bright and immersive. The contrast is not as good as a £1000 projector, but you can’t expect that at this price point. The sound is not audiophile grade, but it is loud and dynamic, so it’s great if you don’t have a home stereo, or need loud sound while projecting outside at something like a kid’s party. The only thing I see holding this back is that some random menu pop-up screens still show Chinese language, but it’s only 2 or three and it’s generally obvious what you are clicking on if you look at the English on the menu around it for context. This can also easily be fixed with a software update which I hope will come soon.

The projector is extremely noisy, it generates a lot of heat, the software is outdated, you cannot access the Google Play Store
