Hinge broke while lifting up the lid to scan
The thing is very unsturdy plastic. I had it for a year and used it maybe 250 copies. I opened the lid to scan and the hinge broke. I had bought the service warranty under Asurion and they had me send it back. Then I got a message it was received then that they were sending it back. Me- thinking they fixed it no it was sent back âas isâ saying cosmetic damage wasnât covered.I am not happy. I hadnât used the scanner to know the screw in the hinge was bad and it snapped when I opened the lid. I couldnât be without a printer so I bought another one NOT the same kind. Iâll not buy this plastic piece of junk again. It lost internet connection all the time so the Wi-Fi was bad. Not my home Wi-Fi and it would go into sleep mode. Iâd have to reinstall it so many times.I work from home now and I need a reliable printer and this was not it. Do Not buy this printer. I paid $199 for it plus the extended warranty to be told the piece of crap wasnât covered. It does not scan straight now as the hinge is by the glass. Oh and the printer sells for $259. Same printer.I am not sure who I am the most upset with. Amazon for selling junk and they have a lot of Pantum models available. Or am I mad at a Siri on for not fixing my printer before sending it all wrapped in plastic back to me and saying âtoo bad so sadâ. They cover technical stuff like humidity and paper jams not the functionality of scanning and lifting a lid.Make to see what is in an extended warranty. They are quick to offer it to you but when you need it. It doesnât cover malfunctioning lifs on scanners.Wendy Weaver – unhappy long term Amazon customer.

Wireless is extremely flakey
the setup for this (installation) is abysmally explained..First in order to hook up the printer to wireless, it has to be first connected by USB 2.x to your computer directly, then the installation can continue.. in the installation program it has an option to set up the Pantum printer directly via wireless alone.. THAT DOEN’T WORK.. it hangs and says it can’t find the printer.. (of course printer on, and the button on the front for wireless is blinking, but you press it, and it just prints out a sheet saying you have to ‘capture’ the Q-Code with your phone (what if people don’t have a phone??? really!!) I find Q-Codes horrible to use, and even Amazon.com when doing returns/refunds requires the Q-Code; take it to an official UPS store (staples and others that accept UPS packages for shipping will NOT DO Q-CODES.. for some reason Amazon.com chose not to support this form of refund using specifically a PRINTABLE UPS or FedEx RMA label for returns.. (the package is scanned, and they know it’s on the way back).. I find THE new return policy that Amazon.com uses is unfriendly.. Why? I live 100 miles from the nearest UPS store.. Are you f’ing kidding me..RE INSTATE the ABILITY to Get a Printable RMA return label.. Why must you make this so complex even tho your customers give you Billions each year you DON’T pay any taxes for.. but we’re all addicted to Amazon.com now, thank you very much.. HOW ABOUT DOING SOMETHING for you CUSTOMERS.. if it costs you a teeny amount of money, it is the LEAST you can do..in summary.. the entire PANTUM line of printers should be avoided.. WHY? all customer support is NOT in English.. and it’s IMPOSSIBLE to contact the manufacturerDO NOT BY any (I MEAN ANY) Pantum product, it’s garbage, and Like many customers have noted, after a few months of operation many people experience paper jamming or not bein fed in.. m Cannon Pixma did the same thing, lasted 6 months..Buy a better printer, bite the bullet spend a little more.. you will save on frustration and not have to fight to return the item, and god-forbit you have to spend 2hrs on line to find someone to help..Do NOT buy Pantum products, they are a rip off..thank you.. the end of this PSA statement.WJS

Excellent print quality and good value for the money
The Auto document feeder assembly is very fragile. Broke off at the attachment after a few days of use. The manufacturer was very responsive and sent a replacement immediately. Otherwise excellent print quality. I will buy again if needed

It is a suspicion that this company.once made Chinese junks that all sunk!!
Forget my earlier comment. This device a waste of money. And wastes even more time. WiFi linkage is erratic. Ethernet hardwire system has been undependable. Manual and online help may be useful to a techy nerd. But not to me. Even though have worked with PCs and printers since the early 1980s.

Good Printer – Good Price
This is a great black and white printer. The print quality is good, and it is easy to hook up. If Prince really quickly and it is capable of printing duplex documents. The duplex function Works smoothly and I’ve had very few problems with it.I recommend this fue a good home printer/scanner/copier.The only problem I’ve found is that if you run out of paper in the middle of a job, you have to start a new print job. When you do this make sure to set the page count manually.

Great Value
Love this thing for my parents. Hooked it up and immediately downloaded latest driver. I needed to check 4x that I removed all the hidden packing and plastic. The lower tray was confusing too (set for A4 by default) once fixed for US Letter everything was groovy. Tested the fax, scanner and copier. Network printing went off without a hitch using their proprietary Android app. Overall, great for the cash.

Worst purchase ever and absolutely worst (i.e. none) tech support
I totally regret that I bought this printer. Looks nice, but it is loaded with problems. Technical Support is the worst ever. They barely speak English and repeatedly ask the same stupid questions (IF you are lucky and they do respond). I have had it for a month now and I hate it because of all these bad experiences and the compromise of quality which I accepted due to the lower price. I gave it a try to make the switch from HP to an unknown brand, but here’s the proof, they sold me a piece of crap and you won’t be taken seriously by this company. I called Tech Support, got a few dumb emails from China and the Canada helpdesk was an unknown 3rd party who would only log what happened. No support from them, from nobody! I wish I saved a little more money and boucht a real HP, Canon, Brother or whatever, but NOT PANTUM. The saddest part: they kept me waiting when I needed help and now I am out of my Amazon return period. I am stuck with it.
