Probably better for people with large hands
My buddy got me back into Street Fighter, but since I’m so used to WASD PC controls I figured I would take advantage of all these new stickless fight boxes. That said, I wasn’t certain I’d really enjoy a fight box to begin with, and this one seemed like a decent entry-level option. The WASD movement layout worked perfectly fine for me, as did all of the blue switches, however the one thing I couldn’t get past was the wide spacing on the other 8 buttons. I cannot find a schematic for button layouts that uses the same spacing, although it most closely resembles a generic shifted layout as used by Vewlix cabinets. From left to right, the distance (on a horizontal plane and as measured in button layout schematics) between each set of buttons is 35mm, 36.5mm, and 36.5mm. Outside of the terrible grid layouts that exist, that’s a good deal more total spacing between 8 buttons than I can find on any schematics, so I’m not entirely sure why they chose this particular spacing.Perhaps other beginners (or those with larger hands) will find the large spacing to their liking, but for me, that extra stretching just meant I wasn’t able to hit moves on time or as quickly as I’d like, and it did not feel intuitive or particularly natural to use, hence the 4 stars.Hope that helps someone. Happy fighting!

responsive and comfortable
I like that this looks very cool and is solidly built. I had my doubts at first but after using it for only a few minutes I realized that this would definitely be a favorite controller for gaming. My Alienware gaming pc with Windows 10 recognized it easily. I tested all the buttons in the control panel and everything worked fine. I tried some simple games in Steam and the controller worked really well. I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it was to use. Of course the button configuration will take some time to get used to. I highly recommend this for someone who finds small game controllers uncomfortable to use.

Embrace the Unconventional as Arcade-Style Gaming Redefined…
A Unique and Fun Fighting Game Experience with this Arcade Fighting Keyboard…I knew it was going to be something different as far as experiences go. Instead of a traditional joysticks, this fight pad uses mechanical keys for a unique gaming experience. At first, I found it a bit tricky to adjust to the squared-off keycaps, but once I started playing, I realized it was actually quite enjoyable. The tactile feedback and response time were surprisingly good, especially when playing games like Mortal Kombat. I appreciated the fact that it wasn’t a traditional fighting game controller, as it forced me to adapt and improve my skills FLAWLESSLY without much effort. While it took some practice to get used to, I found the Arcade Fight Keyboard to be a fun challenge. It’s not quite a hitbox or joystick, but it works well for fighting games. I liked that it was well-made and easy to upgrade with newer parts if desired. I was impressed with the performance and build quality of this fight pad, especially considering the affordable price point. Beginners and casual gamers will likely enjoy the tactile buttons and flawless PC connectivity, while advanced players may prefer to customize the controls further. In summary, the Arcade Fight Stick PC Street Fighter Keyboard is a unique and enjoyable gaming experience that offers a different perspective on fighting games. While it may take some time to adjust to the mechancial keys, the tactile feedback and response time make it worth exploring. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player, this fight stick is sure to provide hours of entertainment.Pros:High-quality materialsResponsive buttonsSmooth and precise joystickGreat for Street FighterCons:None that I can think of at the time of writing this ….

Very good for keyboard players
This is a good entry level ‘fight stick’ for anyone that is adept at using a keyboard for games. I was fairly unsuccessful using it in games like Street Fighter or Tekken because I am used to having an Xbox controller or an Arcade Style ‘Fight Stick’ for fighting games. However for WASD or directional arrow games this controller works very well. The directional buttons are nice and clicky plus the eight action buttons feel very nice.In the box is the main fight stick controller with a nice long USB-A cable attached for connecting to a PC or gaming console. It comes with a USB-A to USB-mini for connecting a PlayStation controller and an additional USB-A to USB-C cable for connecting an Xbox controller. For this unit to connect to a gaming console it has to piggyback off of the connected game system controller. For a PC connection the connection is simply direct to a USB port. The unit is fairly light at about 2 1/2 pounds. Compared to my MayFlash F500 at 5 1/2 pounds, that is less than half. A lot of this controller’s weight comes from metal weights housed inside the base. That part was a bit disappointing. That was learned after disassembly of the unit to check for upgradeability. As for upgrading this unit down the way there is promise. The action buttons appear removeable and are easily wired. Can they be upgrade to Japanese Sanwa buttons? Maybe. The directional keys are Blue switches and the keycaps plus switches can be swapped out. So it is customizable. Bonus.Overall it is a nice directional keyed fight stick controller for anyone starting off or wanting to focus on that style of gaming. It felt good to play with and it lightweight. For me that lightweight nature made it feel a bit cheap compared with my MayFlash’s metal construction. I do recommend it for beginners who want that directional setup at an entry level budget. 4 stars.
