Decent 90 degree adapter
The outer case feels a bit cheap, but they both worked fine in my tests and I wasn’t able to notice a decrease in speed. Worked fine up to gigabit speeds. Does help if you have a tight spot you are trying to fit into. Got these to allow me to move my computer about an inch and a half closer to the wall since I already had an angled power plug and HDMI adapter.

More like 340 degrees
I needed one of these to hamg straight down, from an outlet which is unfortunately installed with the tab side down. That is the one thing these don’t do. They won’t quite rotate a full 180 from the orientation in the stock photo without feeling like they are about to break.FYI, they will stick out from the wall about 1.125″, and are 1.75″ total from plug tip to the back side of the block.

Nice 90-Degree Ethernet Adapters But Follow Twist Limitations
My home workspace was a bit cramped with two laptops and three monitors, and I was looking for a 90-degree connector for the two ethernet cables and found the RIIEYOCA RJ45 GIGABET 90-DEGREE ETHERNET CONNECTORS (SET OF 2). The rotating connection seems to be wired, not mechanical, as the directions indicate not to rotate more than 180 degrees each way. This design contributes to a larger-than-ideal size, but I do not expect to be repositioning these adapters, so that should not be an issue for my current set-up. These 90-degree ethernet adapters allow me to position my external monitors closer to the laptops which was my goal.

Well, there isn’t much to say about these 90° angled Rj45 male/female adapters except they appear to be reasonably well-constructed without visible defects and they work just fine without issues (for now). They are rated for GigE and they indeed could deliver GigE speed without issues. The overall build quality appears decent (albeit typical) although the outer shell is entirely plastic/rubber; unfortunately, the mechanism by which it rotates (in either direction, up to 180°) doesn’t’ appear to be mechanical at all but instead it feels like the wires are physically twisted and turned inside the housing the adapter when it’s rotated and if that’s case, well, this is NOT gonna last does, would it?Keep in mind that these aren’t supposed to be rotated 360° in either direction but instead, they can be rotated up to 180° in EITHER direction; however, I do feel that 90° max is probably what’s best for these because I feel like the wires inside might snap/break after repeated use/rotation.In any case, they work just fine for now and the speed appears to be decent based on some quick tests, as seen below.#### without adapters# iperf -i10 -t 60 -c 10.10.10.13Connecting to host 10.10.10.13, port 5201[ 5] local 10.10.10.11 port 55163 connected to 10.10.10.13 port 5201[ ID] Interval Transfer Bitrate Retr Cwnd[ 5] 0.00-10.00 sec 1.09 GBytes 939 Mbits/sec 0 2.75 MBytes[ 5] 10.00-20.00 sec 1.09 GBytes 940 Mbits/sec 0 2.75 MBytes[ 5] 20.00-30.00 sec 1.09 GBytes 940 Mbits/sec 0 2.75 MBytes[ 5] 30.00-40.00 sec 1.09 GBytes 940 Mbits/sec 74 430 KBytes[ 5] 40.00-50.00 sec 1.09 GBytes 941 Mbits/sec 14 457 KBytes[ 5] 50.00-60.00 sec 1.09 GBytes 940 Mbits/sec 45 880 KBytes- – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – -[ ID] Interval Transfer Bitrate Retr[ 5] 0.00-60.00 sec 6.56 GBytes 940 Mbits/sec 133 sender[ 5] 0.00-60.00 sec 6.56 GBytes 939 Mbits/sec receiver# with 2 adapters# iperf -i10 -t 60 -c 10.10.10.13Connecting to host 10.10.10.13, port 5201[ 5] local 10.10.10.11 port 55167 connected to 10.10.10.13 port 5201[ ID] Interval Transfer Bitrate Retr Cwnd[ 5] 0.00-10.00 sec 1.09 GBytes 939 Mbits/sec 90 782 KBytes[ 5] 10.00-20.00 sec 1.09 GBytes 941 Mbits/sec 90 714 KBytes[ 5] 20.00-30.00 sec 1.09 GBytes 941 Mbits/sec 0 861 KBytes[ 5] 30.00-40.00 sec 1.09 GBytes 941 Mbits/sec 90 754 KBytes[ 5] 40.00-50.00 sec 1.09 GBytes 941 Mbits/sec 45 761 KBytes[ 5] 50.00-60.00 sec 1.09 GBytes 938 Mbits/sec 52 307 KBytes- – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – -[ ID] Interval Transfer Bitrate Retr[ 5] 0.00-60.00 sec 6.57 GBytes 940 Mbits/sec 367 sender[ 5] 0.00-60.00 sec 6.56 GBytes 939 Mbits/sec receiver###≡ ValueAll things considered, these are somewhat decent 90° RJ45 male/female adapters that seem well-built and work as expected without issues (for now); however, they aren’t exactly well-designed because the rotation seems to rely on twisting and turning the wires inside the plastic housing of the adapter. Granted, I can certainly be wrong about this but until it’s proven otherwise, I’d assume that’s the case based on my experiences with them. As such, their longevity is in serious question. They are somewhat reasonably priced at $15 (for 2-pack) for what they provide and their overall build quality, usability, and performance. Your mileage might vary.

Although i respect that it attempts to allow rotating 180 degrees, which isnt common among these type of adapters, it doesn’t quite achieve its goal. In fact, this item promotes it rotates 360 degrees which is downright misleading. It cannot rotate a full 360. It can only rotate 90 degrees one way, an then u can rotate the other way 90 degrees — well ALMOST 90 degrees. It stops like at 75 degrees. So, if you are thinking “wow this can do 360”. WRONG! or “wow this can do 180”. WRONG again! It’s more like 90 one way and 75 the other way == 165 degreesIt also looks and feels unnecessarily very big and bulky. Remember, all it contains is just a connector for 8 wires. I decided to crimp a small ethernet cable to connect from my wall jack to my switch — about 5 inches in length. So i ran this cable in a 90 degree bend. I then tried this adapter. From the included pics you can see the adapter is way larger than just using a small ethernet cable and in fact the cable itself looks more tidy, which is what i decided to go with instead. My goal was to just keep this nice and tidy but this adapter just made it worse looking. If the use-case for this would allow a cable to run downward with the necessary requirement that the adapter’s size buldge out the way it does, then funny enough a regular ethernet cable could bend much sharper than this adapter, allowing for it to fit in even tighter spaces. So, technically, i dont know when id ever be using this adapter. I’m still happy to have them but the price needs to be much lower because i don’t see much use for them when a regular cable will suffice in much tigher spaces than this — and look much cleaner.
