Top printer in my collection!
After owning several (4) Sovol 3D printers and recently adding the Klipper screen to my SV06 Plus, I knew that the added features of the SV07 Plus made the printer a worthwhile purchase for me.When the printer first arrived I was very excited to get it put together. It was very well packaged as all of my Sovol printers have been in the past have been and there were no sign of any damage to the printer or any of the components. 2 of the 3 bed adjustment wheels did appear to have loosened during shipping and the wheels and springs had to be threaded back onto the bed adjustment screws which was no big deal. Other than that, assembly was a breeze and I had the printer put together in less than 30 minutes. The printer includes both bed adjustment wheels/springs as well as the static mounts if you prefer to rely on the printer to maintain your bed level (similar to SV06/SV06 Plus). With this printer I opted to use the bed adjustment wheels and havenât had any issues with prints not sticking to the bed. Just make sure you calibrate it correctly and well the first time and you shouldnât have any problems. Itâs also a good idea to print a first layer test to ensure that your z offset is correct as this is a huge factor with prints and how well theyâll stick to the bed. Unlike many of the previous printers that Iâve owned, the L and R Z motors in the SV07 plus are able to make independent adjustments and the Z-Tilt bed leveling has been spot on for me and Iâve had nothing but beautiful, perfect 1st layers on all of my prints.Iâll also say that Klipper has been a game changer for me and is a perfect match for the SV07 Plus; this is by far the best printer that I have (or have ever had) in my collection. With the exception of the large part cooling fan this is the quietest printer that Iâve used. It may be due to the use of V roller wheels in the SV07 over linear rails but it is certainly a welcomed change in my opinion. I mentioned that Klipper has been a game changer for me and I mean that. Having the ability to send prints directly from my PC to the printer over Wifi and not having to move an SD or USB back and forth between pc and printer has been such a convenience and should be standard on all printers moving forward. Iâve also recently switched from using Cura to Orca slicer and added settings in Klipper to probe the print area and run z tilt calibration before every print but Iâd suggest first sticking to the basics until you settle into and get to know the printer first. Thereâs a lot you can do with klipper but you donât want to over complicate things right off the bat.All in all I would agree with the other great reviews of this printer. I already have several printers in my collection and didnât think that Iâd own another âbed slingerâ but after adding the klipper screen to my SV06 plus, my love for 3D printing has been re-energized and the SV07 plus is now my all-time favorite which will be my baseline for any future printer comparisons. Itâs been a fantastic printer and one that I can trust to print just about any job that I can throw at it not have to worry about the job failing. It is a printer that I will continue to recommend to all of my 3d printing friends and the price and features included make it a worthwhile competitor to many of the more expensive printers available today.ProâsKlipper w/touch screenIncludes double sided PEI sheet and additional adhesive bed sticker.Hard bed mount points for bed OR bed leveling wheelsIncludes Accelerometer for input shapingTool Tray for storage with included tools (I love this)Built in LED lights on the print head which can be turned on/off from klipper screenVery quiet and very fast printing!ConsPrint head ribbon cable is flexible and can potentially get caught on the gantry fan. I printed a simple cable âspineâ that holds the ribbon cable out of the way.

Updated: Fast and easy. Sovol 07 Plus
Update:No matter how much I tweaked setting the prints still had minor issues but I could live with that. Also the bed plate couldnât keep the prints stuck. Upgraded the build plate but still same issue. The Z axis alignment is always off and bed leveling is also not stable.Fan control thru the slicer is not functional. Now the printer makes too much noise when moving on the axis.Would not recommendOlder review -*****Bought this printer for my daughter after viewing great reviews for Sovol 06. The Klipper support and speed made it very intriguing so I pulled the gun and made the purchase. The printer got delivered in 2 days without any issues. It was packed well and securely. It came with everything needed to get started and instructions were easy to follow. It even came with the tools, securely stowed in a drawer under printer bed.Once assembled, I followed the bed calibration which was easy to do with Klipper, followed by bed mesh and Z calibration. Once calibrated I used the USB it came with and did the standard benchy test print.I was amazed at how fast it printed right out of box without any changes. The bed and nozzle heated up fast and in few mins it started putting down its first layer. The model printed much smoother than I have seen on other printers out of box, and layering was good. The including of cooling fan for this model is needed however cooling fan noise is audible but itâs not too loud.I think I can extract a little more detail and smoothness once I tinker with the settings. There is some frazzling which can be also easily corrected.Couldnât be more happier with this purchase and will definitely recommend it.

In my opinion the best bang for the buck of the mid sized newer klipper based 3D bed slingers.
As of the time of this review this printer is selling for 329.99 on the Sovol website. In my opinion this easily makes it the best bang for the buck new mid sized Klipper based 3D printers being released now. What separates this from the other mid-sized 3D printers in its class.1. 600 watt Meanwhile power supply with the 420watt bed heater allowing the bed to heat to 60° c in less than 2 and 1/2 minutes. They advertise 90 seconds but that was not my experience.2. The MKS pie is in the screen and It is much easier to update the firmware on this system than a lot of its competitors.3. Smaller base footprint with extrusions connecting to the side of the chassis allowing easier assembly and a smaller overall footprint.4. The best selection of tools and accessories I have ever received with a 3D printer. It comes with a specially designed nozzle wrench that makes it a very easy and much more convenient to change nozzles.5. After the firmware update the print quality out of the box printing without any tuning was better than some of it’s competitors.6. Accelerometer and cable that allow you to do linear advance on the X and Y axes. I think this will give you the ability to further fine-tune The printer to your liking. The first time I used the accelerometer for the X and Y axes the overall print quality was better but the corners were worse. After using the excelometer you’re given results that you enter in to the settings right from the clipper screen that comes with the 3D printer. It is very easy to change and adjust these. I would recommend doing the readings at least three times. Each time I did them I came up with slightly different numbers. That way you have a range of values to try different prints with in both of the X and Y axes.7. Removable Screws on the aluminum bed and corrosponding V slots on the spring steel PEI metal bed.The screws are removable so you don’t have to use beds of this size with V slots.Features of the new clipper based bedslingers that this printer has.Speeds of up to 500 mm per second. The ability to connect directly to the printer from your computer/laptop by just typing in the internet address. The ability to transfer files directly from your computer on the same network as the printer without having to use any kind of SD card or USB stick.I was able to just put the internet address of the printer into orca slicer and after slicing a model Just hit the send to printer button and have the model start printing without copying files onto USB/SD card. Many features of clipper right from the touch screen and many more are accessible from your PC / laptop in the same network. The ability to add other plugins to clipper for countless additional features. The most important thing I can think of is adding the USB webcam so you can record do time lapse and monitor your prints. This printer has many features which are all listed above in the add. I tried to highlight what I felt was most important. Please leave a comment below if you think I left out anything that you felt was important. Most of the new printers in this class have the following specifications. They include being klipper based having direct drive dual gear high flow extruders with additional fan cooling connected to the x-axis gantry. The fan on this particular 3D printer is a little more narrow than some of its direct competitors. However it is set back about 3 in from the hot end. So it may actually easily cover the far sides of the print bed but I have not been able to test this yet. I will do an update as soon as I can covering this and many other things. This weekend I plan to change the 4 mm brass nozzle to a 0.6 mm hardened steel nozzle. The current thought process is with the arachni setting there is no significant difference in quality in printing when using a 0.6 nozzle as opposed to a 0.4. I believe this is the perfect printer to try that theory out withMy goal is to set up multiple printers with different purposes for each. This mid-sized printer I think will be perfect for a 0.6 mm nozzle.

As a print farm owner, I been primarily using a heavily modified ender 5 plus for all my large object. But Marlon has its limitations which is why I got this printer to see how clipper works on a big bed slingers.Reason I picked this over others is actually because of the main board is very well established and solvo has a great reputation for good customer service and product packaging and design. I actually had any cubic’s lineup of big bed slingers in the past but they have shown that no matter how good frame built if you don’t test it out every single mechanical part to the death, it will not be successful. Versus solo has been very pleasantly surprised with it’s reliability and consistency.Onto the printer itself. I really enjoy the default clipper screen setup, it is very well formatted, very responsive and frankly nicer than both any cubic and Neptune’s, and even my big tree tech screen on my modified ender 5 plus.It is a very nice feature that it has accelerometer calibration on x and y axis (do remember to switch them from one position to the other when calibrating.) Is a feature not seen in other klipper bed slingers, and it shows that sovol did their research. So hard on assembly is bulkier than I like, but it is very powerful and well designed and leak proof. The new LED light is very quite nice, and I set it up with a third party camera and it worked really good for time lapse. The reverse park cooling fan is very good and well needed for how fast this can print and frankly it is more reliable than my well-tested and tried and true ender 5plus.With how this thing cost and how well a reliably performs time and time again. It is a no-brainer to recommend this printer to everyone who wants to get a larger bed slingers. Although I did not need after sales support, the customer rep did reach out through Amazon on their own and I feel like that is a huge green flag.Definitely try it out this printer, I don’t think you will regret it! Looks like 2023 is officially the death of Marlin.

Inicialmente tive alguns problemas com o alinhamento do equipamento. A Sovol me prestou completa assistência. Durante as tentativas algumas peças foram danificadas e prontamente enviadas em garantia pelo fabricante sem nenhuma discussão! Atitudes assim fazem a diferença! Gostei bastante do resultado.

… then the Air Duct in the printhead broke.Despite what I’ve heard, it appears that SOVOL support is no good at all. Perhaps I haven’t given them enough time, but I sent an email to the address on the card that came in the box and have heard precisely nothing, not even an automated reply.
