So easy to install…and it works fantastic
I have tried numerous wifi “extenders” over the past 5 years or so, and none of them worked in contrast to the product claims by the manufacturer. I recently upgraded my router to a TP-Link AX21 (AX1800) wifi 6 model. I get great coverage inside my home, but venture outside onto my terrace and its signal could not produce a reliable connection. I was contemplating scrapping the router and going with a mesh router with satellites. But I just bought the router, was happy with it overall and I paid $100 USD for it. Then I began my search anew for an extender that would work with my router. Then I found this little baby for $70 on Amazon. I decided to give it a try, especially given Amazon’s liberal return policies. I received the unit quickly and decided to pair it to my TP-Link router via the WPS mode. I plugged it in near my router. Step 1: press the WPS button on the router. Step 2: within 2 minutes, hold the WPS button on the extender for 2 seconds. Step 3: wait up to 2 minutes for pairing to be complete. Well, it worked flawlessly. I moved the extender to an AC outlet next to the door leading outside. I now got full wifi signal outside in either 2.4GHz or 5GHz. Also note, 5 GHz is great unless it is restricted by walls. So in the past, any signal I did receive outside had to be 2.4GHz. Now I can use either, and the connection strength on my iPhone 12 mini is great outside the house. Pages load instantly. YouTube videos stream flawlessly with no stuttering or lost connection. I could’t be happier. Please note that the AX 21 TP-Link router has a design feature they call One Mesh. This extender also supports One Mesh. So unlike the extenders I have tried in the past, this extender maintains the same router channel name and SSID. So roaming is a seamless experience. I advise anyone looking for a good extender to consider this unit. But research is needed to make sure this extender is compatible with your router. I bought this extender because it specifically states it is One Mesh, and even bears the moniker “AX1800”, undoubtedly with reference to my TP-Link AX1800 (AX21). Always choose an extender that allows for maintaining the same router channel name AND SSID. Other routers also have a feature to mesh with their extenders, so start your search there. Hope this helps!

Need to be phone savvy
Had to have my daughter go threw it to make it work. But it does work well. Also the help app for the phone is easy to use.

It really works – I bought 3 of them
I’ll start by saying I’m not an IT guy or any sort of expert in this field. However, we just moved to a new (and bigger) house and are going from a super stable and consistent fiber internet connection in the city over to Starlink setup in a rural area.Instead of using the provided Starlink router, I bought a TP-Link AX5400 along with three of these WiFi extenders. Our wire from the Starlink dish enters the house through the attached garage, so that’s where the router is. Our living room and the rest of our house is on the opposite end of the garage pretty far away. I have two extenders placed in our house giving us full strength coverage through our 4,400 square foot home, across 3 levels. It extends outside to our screened in porch/in ground pool as well. That was impressive on its own, but the next task was getting stable WiFi out to our metal outbuilding. The router is about 80ft away from the building, and I placed one of these extenders inside and it picks up on the signal and gives us full coverage throughout our 4,000sqft outbuilding. Phone service is next to zero due to the metal walls and roof, but the WiFi connection is flawless. From there, the signal extends even further outside past the building and out into the yard. We have great connection nearly 300ft away from the house due to these extenders – it truly is incredible and I wasn’t expecting that at all!Due to this being a mesh system, as you move from room to room and location to location, the transition is flawless between each extender. You won’t drop WiFi calls as you move around.

We have an extremely poor WiFi signal that doesnĆ¢ĀĀt reach downstairs at all. We placed the Wifi extension downstairs and our Firestick now works easily. We can watch our Dodgers games and the Tony Award.

Also Repeater und Extender neu installiert, keine Besserung.

I liked the design as there were not pokey external antennas. Looked sleek and stated itĆ¢ĀĀs the new version of the previous model. Set up with the phone app was quick, easy, and kinda self-intuitive, though it kept prompted what next steps, so it was up and running in no time. Less than 3-4 mins.It instantly covered the two bathrooms that were not getting wifi coverage from my newly installed Wifi6 router with -+ 1gb transfer. This extender gave the transfer reading of 200-300 mbps which wasnĆ¢ĀĀt bad in these two bathrooms.IPhones donĆ¢ĀĀt switch automatically to stronger connection, so it stays connected to the extender and internet speed is still good and no issues at all.Im happy with the extender but I hoped it had still shown at least 500 mbps transfer rate. But still good and no issues. I would recommend it as itĆ¢ĀĀs sleeker and was affordable than other wifi6 extenders.
