Deco uses a system of units to achieve seamless whole-home Wi-Fi coverage — eliminate weak signal areas once and for all!
With advanced Deco Mesh Technology, units work together to form a unified network with a single network name. Devices automatically switch between Decos as you move through your home for the fastest possible speeds.*
A Deco W2400 two-pack delivers Wi-Fi to an area of up to 3,000 square feet. And if that’s not enough, simply add more Decos to the network anytime to increase coverage.*
Deco W2400 provides fast and stable connections with speeds of up to 1167 Mbps and works with the major internet service provider (ISP) and modem.**
Deco can handle traffic from even the busiest of networks, providing lag-free connections for up to 100 devices.*
Customers say
Customers like the performance, ease of use, and signal strength of the adapter. For example, they mention it works great, the app is straightforward, and provides good WiFi signal throughout their house. That said, some complain about the speed, saying it’s disappointingly capped at 100 Mbps. Opinions are mixed on the value.

Improved WIFI signal all over my house
We have a ranch style home with a fully completed basement. Our cable modem is set up in one corner of the basement where the Spectrum cable enters our home. I had a NetGear router that I purchased at Walmart and it covered half of the house with WiFi signal. If you were upstairs and at the other end of the house, your device would say you had WiFi signal but the connection would be sooooo painfully slow and often drop out. A couple of years ago I decided to just install a second WiFi router at the other end of the house. That solved the problem of connectivity but now we had multiple WiFi networks to connect to and it was just irritating switching between networks depending on where you were in the house.Enter the Mesh style WiFi network. I’ve had my eye on them for a while but did not want to spend a small fortune to install one. I did the research and settled on the TP-Link Deco. These were actually even cheaper as they were refurbished. Super easy to set up and I have consistent WiFi all over my house with just one network. The app is very easy to use to fine tune your WiFi however you’d like. It actually alerts me every time a new device connects. One feature I didn’t stumble upon until after I’d had it a few days is the LED status light is able to be turned off. I didn’t realize this and this is installed in the corner of my bedroom and it is SO BRIGHT in the dark. My wife threw a pillow over it on night number 2 to get rid of the light. However, within the app you can turn the status light off. I also like that you can plug these into an ethernet cord and use them to feed other plugged in devices.Highly recommend if you are struggling with WiFi coverage in your home.

False Advertising: Capped Speeds and No Range Improvement Make This a Waste of Money
I recently purchased the TP-Link Deco-W2400 AC1200 Wireless Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System 2-Pack (Certified Refurbished) and it has been a huge disappointment. Despite being advertised with speeds up to 867 Mbps, the actual speeds are capped at 100 Mbps. This was the main reason I bought this product, and it completely fails to deliver on this promise. When I connected an Ethernet cable from the Deco unit to my computer, it showed a maximum speed of 100 Mbps. However, using the same cable to connect directly to my router, I achieved a confirmed 1000 Mbps connection. This proves the issue lies with the Deco system, not with the cable or my ISP.In terms of range, I didn’t notice any significant improvement over my existing router. The Deco system did not provide the expected upgrade in coverage, making it useless for my needs. On the plus side, the Deco app is easy to use and straightforward. It allowed me to upgrade the firmware on both devices effortlessly. The app also has a High Priority mode, but even with this feature, there was no improvement in speed.Even though this product was under $50 and refurbished, I expected it to meet its advertised capabilities. This is clearly false advertising and unfair to consumers. Overall, this purchase has been a waste of money. I hope this review helps others avoid the same mistake.
