Very good Switch
what can I say it’s a 24port switch and works very well!

Excellent switch and features
Update 6/22/2021 – A year later, still going strong. I am now up to 8 PoE devices: 2x RPi’s, 3x UniFi APs, 2x UniFi Flex minis, and a G3 Flex camera. I will note that this guy does get really hot with a large PoE load. Now, entering into the summer months, my network rack is getting pretty warm with the addition of a UDM-Pro and UNVR running four 7200rpm hard drives. I’ve added a closet cooling solution from AC Infinity – which I highly recommend – to keep the temperatures down. The Gen2 switch fanless design needs adequate spacing between other rack-mounted appliances to keep the heat down. Unfortunately, this switch does not report internal temperatures like the UNVR or UDM-Pro, so I cannot say for certain how hot it is getting… but quite warm to the touch.Still highly recommend it. I wish I had gotten the Pro model which has 8 more PoE ports, a higher PoE budget, better PoE compatibility with 802.3bt, and SFP+ for 10Gbps uplinks. My current network doesn’t necessarily need these things, but having the options available for future-proofing would be nice.I am slowly converting my home network to Unifi and I have to hand it to Ubiquiti for upsetting Cisco and Brocade’s stranglehold on the networking market. The price for features you get in this switch would cost easily double (or more) from the other two brands. The Unifi GUI is fantastic and for the CLI users out there, the option still exists. I also have an Edgerouter PoE which will eventually be replaced with a USG of some kind to adopt into the Unifi management plane… the new Dream Machine Pro looks pretty nice… (speaking of which, recommend to buy those direct from Ubiquiti when in stock because sellers on Amazon and eBay are marking them up due to limited supply as of May 2020).The fanless design of Gen 2 is worth it – lots of people are dumping their Gen 1 US-24-POE switches on eBay and charging near-new prices for them. Don’t be fooled! The Gen 1 is loud/unbearable if you are installing it in an office environment and powering PoE equipment. Gen 1 is still compatible with all of the Unifi management tools, so if noise is not a factor I would still highly recommend a used one to possibly save a small amount of money.Original review:Over time I plan to power more cameras, a WAP, and other PoE Unifi managed switches throughout the home. So far, the switch is powering one camera and Raspberry Pi which is hardly a load, but we’ll get there eventually. Using PoE to get rid of wall warts and extra cables is the way to go, I’m convinced! I am excited about the future of my network because Ubiquiti has made max performance possible without breaking the bank.

The “Apple” of networking hardware.
I’ve always thought uniFI is the Apple of networking hardware. Slightly expensive for what you get, excellent packaging/construction, and it works great with other products of the same brand. This product is no exception. It’s a great switch that has lived up to all my expectations. It was a drop-in replacement for an old 8 port uniFI switch. One thing that confused me while researching other 24 port switches in the linup, is there are two versions of this switch, and then there’s a pro version as well. I won’t go into the features here, but I’ll tell you how you can tell them apart (other than the model number).USW-24-POE Gen 2 – This is what this listing is for. You can tell it’s gen 2 because it has a 1 inch screen on the left side of the front of the product. This screen looks black in the product photos.US-24 or US-24-250W – This is the gen 1 version. It doesn’t have a screen on the left side of the front of the product, instead it’s the same stainless steel color as the chassis.USW-PRO-24-POE – This is the pro version. It has a “USP Connect” port on the left side of the back of the chassis.

Unifi, high endHardware with Cloud access and easy to deploy
I have been using ubiquity unifi Hardware for many years. They just work great. Please note this is 24 Port switch but only 16 ports are poe. This should be enough for most applications though and it works great.

Several bad ports
I didn’t realize I was buying “Used, like new” when I added this to my cart. I only realized it when I tried to get an RMA with Ubiquiti for it and looked closely at the invoice. The unit had several bad ports. No ping. No workie. I have returned it to Amazon, waiting for refund. That said, Ubiquiti products have been great for me. I ordered this same switch directly from Ubiquiti, NEW, and it’s fine.

Unifi es excelente producto fácil de instalar y controlar

If you’re buying this switch you’re probably already in a UniFi environment so I’m sure you know what to expect. Switch works great for me. I am having troubles getting a LAG to work with a device, but that’s probably because of some setting on the other device

Order turned up very quickly and is exactly as described. Was definitely a Gen2 device.Switch is fanless and silent. In my current placement on a workshop bench it is not overheating at all.Quick and painless setup.
Aussie David –
taken care of all my poe devices, no more power injectors required. Easy to setup for those familiar with ubiquiti stuff.

Fantastic switch, when you need a big boy switch but quiet works a treat. Unfortunately it does get a little warm. So pending summer for full evaluation.
