Product Description
UCTRONICS produces reliable PoE adapters to make micro USB devices “Power over Ethernet.” We help you save USB adapter wall plugs, extend powerline to where your Ethernet cable reaches, and make full use of extra PoE ports by converting them to micro USB. It’s a good companion for micro USB devices that might need an Ethernet connection but only comes with a single Micro-USB connector or other Micro-USB devices that are away from the AC outlet.
Even if you are not using PoE, you can still enjoy this device by combining the plain Ethernet and Micro-USB power supply for a single USB cable to carry both data and power.
The ultimate adapter for the ultimate goal – both network and power delivered to a single Micro-USB connector.
If your network and power come from a single cable (PoE), this adapter converts it. If they come from two cables, this adapter combines it.
The device to be used with needs to support both Ethernet and power over a single Micro-USB connector.
Note: It can’t be compatible with android phones, and ipad.
PoE Micro-USB adapter
Single-cable connection. It converts the Power over Ethernet signal running from your PoE switch or injector into power and Ethernet over USB. No Micro-USB power adapter is used, and especially useful when you run multiple devices.
Fire Stick Ethernet adapter style
You want a stable Ethernet connection but there is only a single Micro-USB connector. No PoE switches? Just plug the original charger into this adapter, and connect an Ethernet cable to it so the power and network are combined and delivered over a single connector.
Micro-USB Ethernet Adapter Mode
If your device does not support both network and power over a single connector but comes with extra Micro-USB connectors, this device will still work for you as it adapts the Ethernet to USB connection.

What is it – An adapter that helps you deliver both power supply and solid wired network connection to a single Micro-USB port.
How does it work – By converting PoE (Power over Ethernet) signal, or combining plain Ethernet and Micro-USB power supply, into Power&Ethernet over USB.
What is PoE – Deliver power and data with a single Ethernet cable for fewer wall plugs and messed cables. Extend powerline to where no AC outlets are nearby, up to 300 feet away from the power source.
What else needed – You need an IEEE 802.3af compliant PoE switch or injector for the PoE mode, or an extra Micro-USB power supply for plain Ethernet combining.
Note: 1. For Raspberry Pi Zero, plug into the micro USB port marked “USB” instead of “PWR.” 2. Make sure the PoE input is connected to a functioning IEEE802.3af compliant PoE switch that has internet connectivity and power over Ethernet on PoE mode. 3. It can’t be compatible with android phones and ipad. 4. If there is no network on Wyze Cam, please try this way: bit.ly/PoE-Adapter-on-Wyze-Cam, or contact UCTRONICS.

Not exactly plug and play for Wyze Cams, but works great when set up correctly…
The adapter works great for Wyze Cams running wz_mini, but it’s not exactly Plug ‘n’ Play as described above. The camera needs to boot normally into wi-fi mode with the adapter attached before enabling the USB/ETH function of the wz_mini firmware. THEN it needs to be rebooted live to re-initialize network communication to obtain an IP address for the MAC address of the adapter, at which time the camera wi-fi is disabled and network connectivity becomes a function of the adapter. Enabling the USB/ETH function must be done with the camera online via SSH or the web GUI configuration editor included with wz_mini. (The web editor will need to be enabled in the configuration prior to initially booting up from the SD card containng wz_mini.)

Wyze cam POE setup
This product is not just plug and play. I can connect My Wyze v3 camera using wifi, but bought it for Poe and I don’t see any way to do this. Have I made the wrong purchase? Please advise, thank you.

Works great on Wyze V3 using wz_mini_hacks
Plugged into a PoE port and the pigtail on a Wyze V3 with the unofficial wz_mini_hacks loaded and with both ENABLE_USB_ETH and ENABLE_USB_ETH_MODULE_AUTODETECT enabled.Came right up on the network locally and on the Wyze app.

Realtek
Not ASIX chipset. Doesn’t work with all Wyze products

Upgraded version does not provide network to Google Home Mini
The non-upgraded version does work though so I’m going to order more of those instead. It does provide power though but then still prompts for wifi setup. With the non-upgraded version it doesn’t even ask for wifi info.

Slows down MBPS
This device works, however I get 292 mbps with WiFi 5ghz and this device slows the speed down to 92 mbps. So it is of no value to me.
