Real Life-Saver.
Just lost my right arm and as you can imagine chores are a lot harder. This item is fantastic. Just used the adhesive and stuck it under my cabinet over counter. I’ve opened everything from a pickle jar to a 12oz bottle of Coke. you won’t go wrong with this inexpensive jar opener.

4 stars overall, but def 5 stars in giving back independence to those with weak hands
I have purchased a few of these. One for mother and one for my grandmother. They really do work and they work very well to open tough lids.Installation is straightforward but does take some pre-planning to get the most of it.You can easily mount under a kitchen cupboard but beware that it may not be the best spot. Especially for reaching to open larger items like pickle jars, etc. Probably would work well for most other jars and convenientI personally recommend mounting on a chest high pantry shelf where you can use full arm strength and access very easily. JUST BE SURE TO MARK WITH SHARPIE OR TAPE THE LOCATION so no one forgets and cuts their handsYou also can mount this the standard way with opening of V pointing toward you or backwards with the V pointing away.I believe some Left handed people may prefer pointing away and it can provide some additional leverage also, but overall I would recommend the V opening pointed towards you.For individuals with arthritis or other conditions that impact the hands and hand strength as well as the elderly this is a game changer. It can restore a lot of independence and ability to eat some of their favorite foods. Too often do elderly or disabled people refuse to admit some shortcomings and suffer in silence. A quick installation and inexpensive item can make a world of difference. The only reason I rate as 4 stars is that it still does require some good options for mounting and some are seem cautious to use it / almost are afraid of it. It’s not as convenient as a rubber grabber, etc. But when it comes to opening tough jars, really nothing better imo. I strongly recommend

Great hand and wrist saver
This jar opener is easy to install and use, even with a damaged hand. It mounts under the kitchen cabinet with adhesive and screws, providing strong support. It effortlessly opens jars and bottles, saving time and effort. Be aware that it can mar plastic lids slightly, but it’s a minor issue.

Works great – helps me open jars I used to have to bring to my husband to open.
I mounted this under an upper cabinet. It is the last cabinet along the wall, so I can stand next to it without reaching across the counter. This gives me plenty of leverage when opening jars. It grabs the jar lid well and enables me to open both large and small jars pretty easily.

Yes! Finally a caner opener that works!
Woohoo! So glad I got this. It’s so frustrating when I have a lid that is stuck and I have to wait for my husband to open it. Gah. Now I don’t have to wait. No more frustration. Great design. Great concept. Easy to install. Easy to use. Should have gotten something like this a long time ago!

A must have!
Mounts easily and is very secure with the included hardware. We use it frequently and with one of us having only partial use of one arm it is a wonderful tool for the kitchen. It helps with stuck lids of all sizes or just to get that bottle top that is tighter than usual. I have bought extras to give to my parents, in-laws, and a few others that have greatly appreciated them and use them daily.
