From the brand
Founded in 2019, HENRETY focuses on various audio and video or data conversion series, which are widely used in mobile phones, computers, notebooks, ultrabooks, tablet computers and other consumer electronics fields.
The USB C to Ethernet Adapter is a versatile 4 in 1 device that expands your connectivity options with 3 USB 3.0 ports and a 1000Mbps RJ45 gigabit port. All hub ports can work simultaneously, allowing you to connect multiple devices and peripherals with ease.
With the Ethernet port, you can enjoy faster and more stable wired network connection speeds up to 1 Gbps, and it’s backwards compatible with 100Mbps/10Mbps RJ45 LAN. To reach 1Gbps, please ensure you connect with a CAT6 & up Ethernet cable.
Designed with a Green LED power light and network detection indicator, the USB C to Ethernet Adapter offers clear visibility of the network card’s working status. The diagnostic indicator displays a steady yellow light for power and blinks green when data transfer is taking place.
This Ethernet adapter is a plug-and-play device that doesn’t require any driver installation. It provides access to fast network speeds of up to 1000Mbps, making it possible for computers without an Ethernet port to connect to the network.
The Gigabit Ethernet adapter is built with high-quality aluminum shells that are both beautiful and durable. The USB 3.0 ports feature high-grade aluminum shields, making the Ethernet hub more durable than other plastic products. This ensures a longer lifespan and a more reliable connection for your devices.
Customers say
Customers like the performance, connectivity, ease of use, and quality of the multiport hub. For example, they mention it works well, it’s easy to use, it connects to the internet, and it’ll work with legacy hardware. That said, opinions are mixed on speed.

Full gigabit speeds
I tried a few other USB hubs with an Ethernet port but they never provided full data speeds. This one actually does. I’m using an M1 MacBook Pro and no drivers or anything needed. It just works perfectly out of the box at full Gigabit speeds.

Great Hub for Macbook pro
Needed a few extra USB ports and ethernet for my macbook. This plugs in and all devices worked with no issues

Using for a MacBook Air so I could get USB-A and the RJ45 was just extra
I needed another adapter to use my USB-A thumb drives on my MacBook Air which only has USB-C. I thought this was ideal since it has three ports and the RJ45 was just a bonus, but I have actually used it much more than I thought I would. I also carry a PC laptop with me and sometimes I could really use a second ethernet port and this does that for me also. It is not often I can say I bought something and it turned out to have double or triple the usefulness than I expected.

Works better than expected for price
Works. Ethernet pulls full gigabit when plugged into router. Fairly priced. Have not speed tested the USB but I generally don’t care much for extreme speeds. Given RJ45 speed though I would suspect it performs well with USB as well.

Bidirectional speed reduced
I tested both this device and an older cheaper (discontinued) device of a different brand. When the test is testing both upload and download simultaneously on this device, the direction established second runs at half speed. But the older cheaper device is full speed in both directions at once. This device was full (1GB) speed in either direction alone, but when both directions are tested together the second direction gets 0.5GB while the first continues at 1GB.I don’t know how much that will affect real world use. My home internet is limited to 0.3GB anyway, so speeds higher than that only matter between two computers within the house (which is how I tested). This one was $12. That is still very low cost, even though the discontinued product I compared it to was both cheaper and faster.

For Those Without Ethernet Ports, This Is What You Need
Like many, I have a new laptop where there isn’t a ethernet port, in order to support that slim look. This solved the issue of wonky wi-fi for me, as it is a USB-C adaptor that hasn’t had any issues. It’s plug and play so no need to worry about a driver, the cord is flexible, which is great for me since the switch I’m using isn’t close to my laptop – so this bends throughout the day.Yet, despite the bend, I still get steady speed, I don’t have to adjust it like you would a headphone back in the day, and while others have to complain about wi-fi, I don’t.
