Reliable and Efficient: USB Hub 3.0 Multiport Adapter Delivers Versatile Connectivity
I recently got the USB Hub 3.0 Multiport Adapter with 8 ports, and so far, it has been a reliable addition to my setup. I tested all the ports, including the HDMI, and they all work flawlessly. I appreciate that it features USB 3.0 ports, as many hubs still offer 2.0. While I haven’t used it extensively yet, it seems to function well and meets my needs. A solid choice for anyone looking to expand their connectivity options.

Plug and play, gives me a lot more ways to plug in parts to my laptop
I like that the form factor is something I can just throw in my backpack along with the laptop. Because it has the SD reader I no longer have to worry about carrying a small dongle adapter to read those cards. This one “stick” is easier to remember to bring vs 4 different adapters.I also like that the stick itself has a USB C/A adpater attached to it. Smart move. This way you can even plug it into old TVs or monitors that only had a USB A recepticle. The quality: It feels very well made. Not unbreakable, but you’d really have to be trying to break this. The weakness may be if you spilled something on it.

Only 1 USB 3 port & 3 USB-2 ports plus a USB-C nice to have Audio I/O & TF/SD memory card reader
Until you look at the images on the Amazon Product Page it’s unclear how many USB-3 ports are included. AND it’s unclear if the USB-C port can be used for power input or not. At this price point, and because it has a USB-C to USB-A adapter, I’m betting that it can’t be used to power the PC. It MIGHT be able to boost the amount of power available to the other USB-A ports, but there is no documentation to say one way or the other. One nice thing about the USB-C to USB-A adapter is that it is set up so that you can slide it out of the way. Some others are molded in a way that they can’t easily be moved out of the way and are almost always in the way!I tried to get the Audio port to work. It was able to play audio to the headphones once the driver was found, but I never could get it to recognize or access the headset microphone, so I don’t know if it simply doesn’t work (because there is no manual or data on the audio port) or if it (or the headphones) are defective.

Adds an extra versatility to my laptop for extra ports and media card
The good thing with this is that it is one of the smallest ones I have seen and so it is very easy to keep in a small pouch in my computer bag to provide the extra ports when I need them. It also has a standard USB 3.0 or USB C with the included adapter for plugging into the laptop. The adapter is attached to the cord so it does not get lost and that is very convenient. Sometimes I will need a type C and sometimes a type A.It does have enough room between the ports for standard sized thumb drives. So, while they work well, if you have one of the “cute” or non-standard thumb drive cases then you may not be able to get two in side by side. For example, my daughter has one with a cartoon character case that is wider than most and so overlaps on the adjoining connector space. The only thing that I did not like was that it does not follow industry standards for determining if a port is USB 3 or USB 2. The standard is that the plastic inside the port is blue if it is USB 3 and white if it is USB 2 so that you know immediately. When I saw the picture I assumed that this had all USB 3 connectors as all of them are blue. The device itself has all blue connectors but the specifications say that it has one USB 3 and three USB 2 ports. Some quick transfer tests bear this out as being accurate. So, with three USB 2 ports this is still good for some applications like running USB printers and the like, but for data transfer and retrieval the USB 2 ports are not the best option. But it is as advertised unless you look at the picture instead of reading the specifications. The picture appears to be all USB 3.
