1. Support IP and MAC layer transparent transmission as two bridge modes:
IP layer transparent transmission (factory default), can meet most of the bridge applications;
MAC layer transparent transmission, which can transparent transmission of the MAC layer(link layer) and above layer all data, including IP layer data;
MAC transparent transmission can solve some special applications for MAC layer encryption, such as AP managed by AC, GoPro camera, Cisco AP, Hikvision surveillance system, etc.
2. If you want to use Huawei or iPhone as a hotspot for WiFi bridge when you setting, please select “SSID and password match” in the “Advanced Setting” under the upper-level hotspot password.
3. If you encounter frequent disconnection or other problems during use, you can solve the problem by upgrading the software online.
4. This Device can’t be plugged into a USB port and DC power source at the same time( Two Types of power supply can’t be used at the same time)!

Awesome device.
Awesome device. The little, and I mean itâs tiny, manual that comes with it is a bit cryptic in its terminology, but that’s mostly because there is very little wordage. Just a few words here and there, and itâs easy to get confused as to what they mean. But technologically speaking, this device is awesome.Outside of the cryptic manual, itâs actually easy to setup and use. I just connected it to my PC, browsed to its static IP of 192.168.254.254, and then used the Web GUI to set it up. That consisted of scanning for my WiFi âhotspotsâ (available SSIDs), selecting the one I wanted it to bridge, then giving it a static IP so I can always find it. Boom! Done! Now just plug it into any RJ45 port, and its on my network. I used this for an outdoor WiFi Security camera that had dropped off the network. WiFi on the camera wasnât working anymore, but once I plugged this into its RJ45 port the camera was back on the network and working flawlessly. And itâs actually got better throughput than the cameraâs original WiFi connection.It also has the option of becoming a hotspot itself. This can be disabled if you like (which I did as I only needed the bridge for the camera) but it does offer the functionality of extending your WiFi network from the point it is deployed. So itâs not only a great bridge for wired devices but also a WiFi extender.Unbeatable product at this price point! And it saved me from having to replace a WiFi camera that had lost its WiFi capabilities. The cameras I use are awesome in every respect except their WiFi circuitry. Crappy circuit that is prone to low bandwidth and utter shutdown. Iâve had three of these cameras develop WiFi problems, but this little jewel saves them!

Great Way To Add WiFi To A Wired Ethernet Device
I was a bit disappointed that the Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro 3D printer has an Ethernet port but no WiFi. I thought everyone uses WiFi these days so the lack of WiFi seemed like a big oversight. The Vonets WiFi bridge made it easy to add WiFi to the 3D printer. It was so intuitive that I was up and running in a few minutes without reading any instructions. For the last two months, the connection has been rock steady and reliable even though the 3D printer is fairly far from the WiFi router. It’s been as good as a wired Ethernet connection. Zero complaints. I haven’t needed to touch it since installing it. It’s powered from the 3D printer’s USB port, so the power to the WiFi bridge cycles with the 3D printer. It never has a problem quickly connecting to the WiFi router. I love being able to send jobs to the 3D printer from a Fluidd tab in my web browser or from the PrusaSlicer software. I supply the IP address (192.168.212.12) and everything connects automagically. It’s WAY better than transferring files via a USB thumb drive or (much worse) a micro SD card.

Not very good at what it’s designed for
Let me start by assuring you all that I’m a tech guy in a big way. I’ve built seriously large network environments, so I know how to get equipment working.This product would fill a great niche if it worked better. My goal was to connect an HP color laserjet printer to the network in a location where there isn’t a network drop. Obviously, the printer did not have a wireless port – only an ethernet port on a JetDirect card.This unit gets set up on a PC that has an ethernet port available. The instructions are convoluted and unclear at best. The instruction manual (if you can call it that) is so small with such small type that I actually needed a magnifying glass to read it.I managed to get the unit set up as needed and I connected the laptop I was using to the wireless network. When I did this, I was a few feet from the wireless access point. I then moved the unit to the printer location. It was impossible to connect. Any other wireless device I use at that location connects fine, but this one did not have the sensitivity to connect to the network. I’m assuming the signal was too low for it to operate.I returned the unit. As usual, Amazon made that return as simple as can be.

Not the easiest to configure, here is my cookbook
I need this to interface to a couple of wired Ethernet printers for a restaurant application. I’m not sure if I’m going to put a switch behind this or just get another one for the second printer. They’re pretty cheap…..I must have reset the device to factory configurations 6+ times as I worked through the manual configuration.To get it to repeatedly and easily configure, attach it to you computer’s Ethernet port, plug the power source into a usb connector, turn on airplane mode (wireless off), go in to the IPV4 properties for your computers wired Ethernet, turn off DHCP, set your computer address to 192.168.254.1, and set the gateway to the device 192.168.254.254. Once I did that, I could quickly and easily access the login page (192.165.254.254) after device resets with the reset button.My Mifi’s network is 192.168.1.xxx. I found that if I gave the device a static IP address of 192.168.1.254 (way out of DHCP range), and set up the gateway and dns server in the device to be 192.168.1.1 (the router), once the device was rebooted and connected to the wireless I could easily access, upgrade, and manage it from the 192.168.1.254 address through my MiFi.Don’t do too much more configuring until you have it working the first time and download and upgrade to the latest firmware (April 2019) as the saved configuration file becomes useless. The upgrade also says you must reset the device to the new factory settings (with the button on the back) to ensure that upgrade fully takes effect.Once I got the firmware upgraded, the wireless repeater off, the new IP address configured, a new admin password set, the device rebooted, and my computer IPv4 reset to DHCP everything now seems to work perfectly: my computer gets a DHCP address from the router through the device. and I can access and manage the access point if I need to in the future.I will update this as we put the device into service.Good Luck!

Remarkably Easy
This never happens to me on Electronic gadgetry. I set it up in Minutes and itâs worked perfectly ever since. Iâve had it for about six months now, and never had to fuss with it.

If you don’t mind the fact that this device is Chinese developed and manufactured and not audited for security (though the brand has been around quite a while), then this is a great and inexpensive way to extend your wi-fi or provide an inexpensive travel router, assuming you don’t mind a cap of 300Mbps.I purchased this to use with an LG OLED C8, whose wi-fi chip has been rendered borderline useless by a recent firmware update. It’s being used as a bridge to connect to my wi-fi and then pass that onto the TV through it’s Ethernet port. After hours of using it with 4K content, it hasn’t missed a beat and is doing a great job. The firmware is basic and full of bad English (not unusual), but it’s functional and even if you’re not technical, following the quick start guide should get you up and running. It also has a one-button firmware update function built-in, which is very handy.This is a device for specific purposes but it serves that purpose well and for a cheap price. If you’re concerned about security though, you might want to make sure it only has a connection directly to your router and not the wider Internet directly.

Assolutamente consigliato.

Brilliant little dongle! Bought this when we moved the BT youview box up into the bedroom, as you may know the youbox a wired internet connection and though i would give this a try. Powered by the USB socket on the back of the box and it works a treat. Really simple to setup even for a novice with networking experience, instructions aren’t the best but can make out what to do, even a simple youtube search will give a clear video on how to do it.I have tested this for amazon prime streaming and so far it hasn’t missed a beat. My router is sat in the living room and we have a solid brick built house so would expect some buffering but so far nothing! Have had this setup for a little over a month. Would recommend if you are looking to get over any hardwired issues and have limited plug sockets at your disposal!
