Fun tech toy
These have been great. Easy to set up, have worked exactly as advertised. I have old eyes, but with the focal point being out in space, can use without reading glasses. Plugged in to my nintendo switch and worked like a champ. Plugged into my company laptop and worked just like an other monitor. Having fun playing around with them and showing off to my engineer friends.

Fit Well but Not perfected Yet
They are comfy and fit my face well, but the screen has some flaws still. The advertised 330â screen does work like youâd think, the glasses can only display an image in the 100â-200â range. So in order to see the entire image, you need to move your head around. That wasnât a dealbreaker for me, but the worst was the blurry edges, no matter how I moved them around and tried to adjust them to my face, I couldnât get the edges to look clear. The beam was quite heavy and had clunky buttons. The interface was very basic and didnât feel like a premium product to me. Airplaying to the beam was possible but had awful picture quality and quite a lot of lag.The speakers sounded good for how small they were and the 3 stage dimming was a cool feature that worked great. Overall the technology is cool and is improving, but itâs not perfected yet and doesnât feel like a $500 dollar product to me.

Beam is not the best interface. But useable.
I was on the fence about these types of products. I researched the heck out of them and decided on the XReal. Very happy with them and use them in many use cases. Drone FPV, Mirrorless Camera video and mostly for watching YouTube/video. As with all of these glasses, there is a sweet spot where the image is clear edge to edge. I do find myself searching for it oftenâ¦.but even when not completely angled correctly, itâs very nice. I do wish the glasses were just a bit bigger. I find that the angle I use is just on the cusp of having the frame at the top interfering with field of view. To me, these are all minor compared to the experience you get. I have worn them for hours at a time and find them very comfortable and not fatiguing on the eyes. The beam is a very stripped down Linux GUI not really designed for this type of device. More for phone/portrait orientation. The unit itself works fine and I have no real problem, but many apps donât work correctly with the navigation buttons and require a Bluetooth accessory. Honesty, they just need to spend time and development efforts into the software. The hardware both glasses and Beam are quite nice. Software id give an 2.5 out of 5. Hardware 4.5 out of 5. Still worth it for me. I think non tech people might be frustrated by the Beam.

Really nice AR glasses.
I’ve been using this for about a couple of months now and love it. If you watch Anime than it really makes it “pop” and to me it looks better than any tablet or TV. I also picked up the X-beam with it to play video games with it. For me personally I could connect the switch with no problems. I couldn’t connect my PS5 to it to save my life. I know I have the correct cables but still could not get this feature to work. The X-beam only came with Netflix and Amazon Prime for video streaming services. So you have to side load other apps to use. Once it’s side loaded then when ever there is an update it does it from the app like any other streaming device. So glad I picked them up so I can watch my TV shows in peace.

Wow
These glasses are so amazing and the photo chromatic lenses work very well.Using it for Netflix and sometimes for work. The portable size make this a lot more usable.

X Real Glasses are great; X Beam sucks
I love the functionality of the X Real glasses. They have been great working with my iPhone 15. I use them for watching movies on my phone and even doing cardio at the gym. Iâve even gone on a few walks with the glasses hooked up to my phone and they work perfect..The X beam stopped working after one week. Also, it doesnât really come with any apps. If youâre using this with a PC the technology is not there yet. And the on the X beam are blurry. Itâs better to watch off your phone rather than the X beam. I would not purchase the X Beam until they get the kinks worked out.

XREAL Air 2 Pro AR Glasses and Beam Bundle – good enough for my purposes, room for improvement.
So I had to choose between two brands of glasses, and the other one started with a “V”. And after some research and extensive thinking, I chose these XREAL Air 2 Pros bundled with the Beam. And so far so good. It’s definitely good tech and well made, but there’s definitely room for improvement. From all the reviews I’ve read it seems that these are made for a handful of specific head sizes and shapes. Fortunately mine made the cut, but just barely. It’s fairly comfortable but I have to keep it a tiny bit forward off of my face to see the full screen well and clearly. As of now if I have it too close to my face, sort of like some normal sunglasses, I can’t see a sliver of the lower part of the screen. Which isn’t critical just a little annoying. But pulling it slightly forward fixes that, so basically I just have to have it perfectly spaced. The lenses also adjust to 3 different angles which is nice, but I do wish they also had a micro adjustment for the distance on the angled glass inside the glasses. The weight isn’t that bad, at least nothing worth mentioning, they’re comfortable glasses considering there’s a piece of tech on your face that shows a large screen. Nothing like the immersive quality of VR glasses which I also have, but those are large and bulky and not practical in an outside setting nor is it comfortable for long periods of time. As far as browsing the net, your phone, watching movies these glasses are very comfortable.A lot of people seem to get these for their Switch gaming system, but I mostly use it for viewing YouTube videos and streaming movies from my phone. Which I have the iPhone 15 Pro Max with the USB-C port which works flawlessly with these glasses plugged in directly.I also opted to get this with the Beam because I want the smooth stabilization mode that you can only get with connecting it to the Beam, so that bumpy rides in vehicles or a plane keep the screen stable. As of now you can only adjust the size of the screen with the Beam. I wish you could make adjustments like moving the screen up or down, which for now you can’t. Hopefully there could be an update for this. The open ear audio is pretty good actually and you can even listen to audio through earbuds or headphones if needed. I also opted for the Air 2 Pro so that I won’t need to mess with the lens covers because they are a slight hassle taking them off and on, I just use them to protect the glasses when in the case. The one button darkness adjustment is really convenient. There’s really not much to complain about, it’s just connecting with different stuff like the desktop computer or gaming system (other than a Switch) is a little frustrating and can need several different attachments to get it working correctly, or just to work with keeping everything charged and stay connected for a long period of time. But since I don’t use these glasses for those devices I’m perfectly happy with just using these with my phone. The wireless cast works ok, you just have to have a really good signal. Otherwise it’s not bad. I had an iPhone 14 (lighting port) prior to my 15 and that was really frustrating with all the attachments I needed and a slow connection because I had to use my WiFi to cast it to the Beam and it would sometimes lag.I contemplated getting a Galaxy S23 since that’s the phone these work best with and has more options, especially with the DeX app that comes with the Galaxy, which gives you an actual PC desktop on the XREAL screen just by using your phone. But I went with the iPhone 15 because I have all my specific apps already set up on my iPhone and use mostly iOS stuff and don’t really need a desktop. I mainly use this for videos and streaming services.I feel bad for giving these 4 stars because these glasses are really well made and serves it’s purpose. But for the price, I just wish it had a little more customizable adjustments to the fit and screen positioning, otherwise these are great and still happy I got them.
